Concern about housing benefit cap plans

The Government made an announcement about their intentions to cap housing benefit, during a parliamentary debate this week (w/c 25 January 2016).

If the cap is applied to vulnerable groups such as the elderly, homeless veterans and victims of domestic violence this could have an impact on many people living in supported, extra care housing within the UK.

We issued the following press release to make our concerns about the proposed change known and to support the National Housing Federation in their efforts to press Government to urgently clarify who the cap will apply to.
