Care home's outstanding caring rating

The care team at Brunelcare’s Glastonbury Care Home were awarded with an ‘Outstanding’ for the 'Caring' element in their inspection by the Care Quality Commission, May 2016.

In April 2016 the Care Quality Commission (CQC) completed an unannounced inspection of the home, over a two day period, awarding the home an overall rating of Good.

The CQC report states:

“On both days of our inspection there was a homely atmosphere. Staff interacted with people in a friendly and respectful way. People were encouraged and supported to maintain their independence and to pursue their interests and hobbies. They made choices about their day to day lives which were respected by staff. People who lived in the home and their visitors described the caring approach of staff in exceptional terms.”
