Gardening together in Glastonbury!

On Tuesday 26th September children from St Johns Infants’ School in Glastonbury joined residents and care teams at Brunelcare’s Glastonbury Care Home to plant bulbs together in the care home garden.

Glastonbury Care Home Manager, Joanna Crago says:

“The children and our residents had been looking forward to this gardening event for weeks! We have a great relationship with the school and often join together for activities like this.

We should never underestimate the importance of such visits and activities in our care home. When the generations come together like this the day always provides fun and stimulation for everyone.

We also look forward to the garden looking wonderful next spring!”

Brunelcare’s Glastonbury Care Home has also been recognised this year for providing high quality care for all of its residents, right up until the end of their lives.  The care home is among 68 homes from across England to win this major national award once again from the National Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Centre, the UK’s largest provider of training in end of life care.
