Brunelcare has published it’s first ‘study’ report.
Entitled ‘Integration of health and social care: Rising to the challenge’, this report has been written in response to a National Audit Office report issued February 2017, examining health and social care integration in England.
Integration is an issue that we are keenly aware remains a focus for debate and action within the health and care sector.
The report is the culmination of work completed during 2017 by a cross-functional group drawn from teams across Brunelcare, formed specifically to compile and publish a report evidencing how the charity contributes to the integration of Health and Social Care within the region in which our services are provided.
In gathering evidence and content, the group focused on two specific elements of Brunelcare's performance:
- Reducing hospital admissions
- Reducing the delay to transfer of care from hospital to other settings
